Review by: Brian Whitney, President of 'Just Plain Folks'.
www.JustPlainFolks.com Russ Anderson's songs are catchy and instantly likable. Starting off with "You told me So," with its memorable organ riff and my favorites, the blue's tinged "The Next Page" and folk rock "Breakdown," this is an enjoyable collection of light pop/folk rock that has some great moments. Other highlights include his anthemic folk song "Remember Tiananmen," and he even has an ode to his cat, Milo, that is quite touching. The album isn't perfect, and suffers a little on the production end, but I still found it quite enjoyable, and I look forward to hearing Russ's work as he progresses and the production matches up with his writing ability.
